Music Monday

Hey friends! New artist for you today... Tal & Acacia! Has anyone heard of them before? I am pretty sure I have been out of the loop on this one but am sooo happy about my discovery! It is a duo of two sisters that just have the funnest style of making music. I think they are so great!

The song I am featuring is "Drifting Away".

This song reminds me of my recent struggles to not be discouraged by my never ending amount of things that I do want to do.. Boo hoo poor me, right? I know it is just so silly that I have been stuck up on this lately BUT it just seems to have put its nails in. Either which way, it IS not here to stay. Because I know that the reason why it has had such an effect on me is because I have let it. I have been drifting away from focusing God's amazing love that he gives to me relentlessly. He is SO good and has provided for my husband and I beyond what we could ever imagine. It is time to direct my attention towards what is so great about my life instead of stupid silly non important things!!!! Happy day :)

Other songs worth giving some listens by Tal & Acacia are "Love's Gonna Getcha" and Yahweh.

Does anyone else have problems that seem just SO SILLY but have a strong grasp on you?? How frustrating right? Good thing we have a God that helps us through anything. :)

With Love,

Favorite Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!! Hope you have a super blessed weekend :)

This weekend I am hoping to work more on my blog makeover.... EEK! Can't wait to reveal it to all of you :) Won't that be a fun day??

Today my Favorite Friday thing is beautiful weather. Growing up in Minne'snow'ta I am used to being freezing during the months of Dec-March and often, November and April... But here in Alabama is has been in the 70s all week, how WEIRD. And we might actually be going to the beach next weekend... IN FEBRUARY!!! I just cant wrap my head around it.
Wouldnt that be fun?!
All the best :)

The Power in Numbers

Yesterday when we were at church the verse (that I CANNOT find for the life of me) that talks about the importance of regularly surrounding yourself with believers came to mind. I have always known of this verse but never really understood the significance of it. During service yesterday my eyes were opened to the power of that verse.

Don't get me wrong, one on one time with the big guy is very important, just like studying for an exam after class is essential to do well on the exam. BUT would you do well on the exam if the teacher didnt teach you the new material? There are aspects of being in a group of believers that you can't obtain on your own. Fellow believers can empower you, send you in the right direction, open your eyes to things otherwise unseen, etc. Plus what is stronger than an encouraging word?

I encourage you to surround yourself with fellow believers that will help you become better in your walk with the Lord. And.... SMILE of this happy thursday! :)
